South Andhra Lutheran Church 1945-1968.

Box 1 contains minutes of the annual conventions and executive committee meetings of the SALC. The minutes are both loose (usually carbon or duplicated copies) and printed booklets. The minutes contain official actions, reports of officers, committees, and institutions, and financial statements. They are divided into loose and printed, and are arranged chronologically within these divisions. There are no minutes from 1946-1947, nor from the organizing convention of January 1945. Box 2 contains correspondence between officers of the SALC and the Board of Foreign Missions. They are divided by office and arranged chronologically. Box 3 contains financial reports, station reports such as would have been presented at annual conventions, Rules of Association for the SALC, and the 12-year development plan worked out between the SALC and the Andhra Lutheran Conference.

The American Lutheran Church (1961-1987) was formed by the merger of the American Lutheran Church (1930-1960), the Evangelical Lutheran Church and the United Evangelical Lutheran Church. Representatives from each of the constitutent churches formed the Joint Union Committee in 1950 to effect the merger. Presidents of the constituent bodies at the merger were Henry F.
